Orders: steps, lead times & payment methods
I paint on canvas with quality materials.
Placing an order for a painting copy or a portrait is simple and done in 6 steps.
1. Choose the work or send your photo
Select the work you want reproduced, or send me a photo for a portrait or custom painting.
2. Photo check
If you send a photo, I check its sharpness and quality (a well-defined image is essential for a faithful, expressive result).
3. Personalized quote
You indicate the desired format (or I can advise you) and I send a clear, precise quote.
4. Confirmation and deposit
If the quote suits you, a 50% deposit is required to start. Payment by check, bank card, or PayPal.
5. Production and preview
Average lead time: 6 weeks. A photo of the finished work is emailed so you can approve the result or request minor adjustments.
6. Delivery and balance
Before shipping, I send several photos of the actual painting, taken under natural light, so you can see that it’s truly finished — a transparent way to confirm both the result and the existence of the work before the final payment.
The balance is paid before delivery, once the painting has been approved.
It is then carefully packed and shipped via an international tracked carrier (DHL, FedEx, or Chronopost).
For more details about delivery and packaging, see the Shipping & Packaging section below.
FAQ: ordering, deadlines, quality
What are the steps to place an order?
The process is simple: choose the artwork, receive a personalized quote, confirm with a 50% deposit, review the finished painting, then receive delivery.
Full ordering details are explained earlier on this page.
Shipping & Packaging
Unlike many online workshops that ship rolled canvases in tubes, this method ensures:
• a ready-to-hang painting, already stretched and fitted with a hanging system,
• no extra cost or hassle finding a local framer — the painted edges mean no frame is required,
• and traditional materials — solid wood stretcher and nailed canvas instead of staples — for genuine, lasting quality.
The painting is shipped with tracking via an international tracked carrier (DHL, FedEx, or Chronopost).
Delivery zones and estimates:
– Europe: included in the listed prices (up to 150 cm)
– Outside Europe: about €70 for a medium painting (≈ 50 × 70 cm) and €140 for a large format (≈ 100 × 70 cm), depending on destination and format.
A detailed quote is always provided before confirmation.
What are the lead times?
The average time frame is six weeks for a painting reproduction or portrait.
Larger formats or more detailed subjects may take a little longer.
What payment methods are accepted?
Credit card or PayPal.
Payment is made in two stages: a 50% deposit when confirming the order, and the balance before shipping, after you have received photos of the finished painting for approval.
What is a hand-painted copy?
A painting reproduction is an artisanal copy of an artwork, hand-painted in oil on canvas using traditional techniques.
Each painting is unique — it recreates the spirit, colors, and texture of the original work, with no mechanical printing involved.
Can any painting be reproduced?
No. Only artworks that are in the public domain (when the artist has been deceased for over 70 years) can be copied and sold freely.
For more recent works, I can suggest a free interpretation or a new creation inspired by the original.
How to ensure the quality of a painting copy?
By checking color fidelity, precision of details, and technique used, with high-definition photos sent before final approval.
How much does a hand-painted reproduction cost?
The price depends on the format, the style, and the level of detail in the artwork.
As a guide, a simple reproduction (in the style of Monet or Renoir) starts at €440 for a 55 cm format, while a more complex composition (such as Ingres or Fragonard) can reach €1 800 for a large format.
Full pricing details are listed further up on this page.
